My Earth Art

I basically dug a hole into a heart. I tried to make it into a heart as much as I can. Then I covered the dirt frame with avocado tree leaves. I had to use sticks and leaf stems to hold the leaves in place. I also used rocks because the wind kept blowing the leaves away. I was getting really frustrated. D;

I filled the hole with I water something weird happens. The water was moving down, which is normal, but then the water started sinking into the ground really fast like there was a drain or something. Bubbles started coming up, and I thought there was an animal in the ground or something. It turned out to be a gopher hole and have I have pictures of that below. I put dirt in the gopher hole and filled the hole with water again.

Then I grabbed some flowers from a bush and threw it into the water. And VOILA, here is my somewhat piece of art. even though it doesn't look like much, it took me an hour and sixteen minutes due to the wind being obnoxiously rude. :P

Enjoy!!!

Improv Everywhere #8

Improv Everywhere is a humorous comedy group known for their amazing flash mobs. However they do not claim to do flash mobs because they were performing before the flash mob trend. In my opinion, it is still flash mobbing.

 They are based in New York, but have done projects in other areas of the country. There slogan is "We Cause Scene," which is pretty obvious when you see all the works they've done.

A man named CharlieTodd started the group after pulling a prank in a bar with some friends in Manhattan. The prank had involved a musician named Ben Folds.

They've done pranks like flooding a best buy with people dressed like the staff and riding the subway naked. They have also done performances where they have synchronized swimmers in a one inch fountain. The funny thing about that though, is that they were purposely unsynchronized.  They have a very popular Youtube channel.

Donatella Versace #7

Donatella Versace is an italian fashion designer. Her stye, in my opinion, is basic, but racy. She uses simple pattern and adds an unusual piece to it to make it stand out. She also shows a lot of flesh, but she knows how to keep it classy and sexy. For example, in most of her pieces, when she shows cleavage, she doesn't show too much legs. Or when she uncovers the stomach, she doesn't show cleavage. She gives a good balance to all her creations.

My favorite dress is the one right below this one. She does show a little more than she usually does here, but it's not too bad. :P I would totally wear this to  club or something.

Xavier Cha #6

Xavier Cha is a performance artist. She has done a lot of popular work. She does not like advertisements and she mocks them by doing strange things. She has dressed in a shrimp suit, stood outside a restaurant, and danced like a retard. Showing how dumb some advertisements can be, because what does a dancing shrimp have to do with eating.

I found her work very humorous and I enjoyed viewing her website.

Robert Smithson #3

Robert Smithson is a painting, sculpture, and earthscape artist who uses nature's creations to create his own masterpieces. He seems to be obsessed with spirals and circles which shows in some of his art, but he does have other patterns where he shows his creativity as well.
